Githens Band to perform at Durham Bulls Game - 4/27

The Githens Band will play the National Anthem prior to the Durham Bulls game vs. the Indianapolis Indians on Friday April 27th, 2012.

Gates open at 6:00pm Game starts at 7:05pm

Tickets are $10 with $2 going to the Githens Band.

Deadline to purchase tickets is Friday April 13th.

Band Makes History at Cameron Indoor!

On February 6th,  the Githens Middle School Band became the FIRST band other than Duke's to play the National Anthem in Cameron Indoor Stadium! The students were seen nationally on ESPN2. We played for the UNC vs. Duke women's basketball game, and it was such a success that we have been invited back for the next several years to perform for the same game.

The Githens band will also be performing the National Anthem at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Friday, April 27 when the Bulls take on the Indianapolis Indians.
