Dr. Sharron Williams has been named Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, effective September 28.

Dr. Williams is a collaborative and visionary educational leader committed to ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality education and the opportunity to achieve at their highest potential.

Dr. Williams earned her doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from High Point University. She holds a Master’s degree in School Administration from Campbell University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from East Carolina University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Since 2024, Dr. Williams has served as the Director of Student Interventions and Success for Lee County Schools, where she provides district-level leadership focused on student achievement, intervention systems, and student success. Her extensive educational leadership experience also includes serving as a district coordinator, principal, assistant principal, and teacher.

Throughout her career, Dr. Williams has demonstrated a strong commitment to collaboration, instructional excellence, and creating systems that support the success of all students.
